The poetry of D. H. Rumsfeld
The Unknown
As we know,
There are known knowns.
There are things we know we know.
We also know
There are known unknowns.
That is to say
We know there are some things
We do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns,
The ones we don’t know
We don’t know.

Okay, there's more, I was at first going to say that this Slate post was just sarcastic and funny, but no really, this is brilliant. I've been meaning to say the SAME thing Rumsfeld said at some point along the lines of, "You have to make sure you know what you don't know. If you don't know what you don't know, then you're naive and will get duped."
