If your mind gets jumbled or you catch yourself anxiously thinking too much, I found a little trick that seems to work on me. I just stare at my palms. Somehow it gets my mind out of my head and outside onto something else. You can stare at other things, but you won't get the same effect. There must be some special connection between your attention and your palm. I know that the palm is the place on the body with the second most number of nerve endings (head being first). Also, after staring at your hand for a long time, it starts to become alien to you, which gives you a better awareness about your mind-body relation. *lov*
