Vaden Health - Balancing your life A filter of good links on the web to help people achieve some internal balance, homeostasis, whatevers. It's got links to stress reduction pages, nutrition guides, sleep-related infolets, and so on.

An interesting link I've found was Mindtools which includes a lot of little mental tricks one can play on themselves to do things like reduce stress, tap creativity, help make decisions, deal with complexity. A Jackknife if you will.

My general take on this kind of stuff is that it shouldn't be used as a substitute for general common sensical thinking you have already. I've observed people (myself included), drown themselves in these self-help drugs, constantly spinning their life around in invocations, mind games, self-help books, seminars, group circle-jerks, etc. So, if you're in a tough situation and your general set of mental tools can't bring you out of them, maybe these things will enhance your abilities. Never, though, should they be a substitute for our natural processes. That should be obvious.
