Dreams that become real life memories

Have you ever had a dream so vivid that it became a real, and lasting, part of your memory? Were you sad when you realized that that part of your life was just a dream?

I once had an elaborately constructed dream of visiting London. See, I've actually been to London multiple times, and each time, I was a total mess. But this one phantom trip had everything I wanted, including me near all the same monuments, cafes, and museums, except happy. Like blissfully eating a sandwich, while sitting on a lion statue in Trafalgar Square, smiling at my girlfriend.

I relished and reminisced about this trip for days, until eventually cracks formed. The mismatched facts trickled in and then downpoured, until I had to accept that that part of my life never happened.
