Vertigo Comics, Y Last Man

Vertigo Comics, Y Last Man In the summer of 2002, a plague of unknown origin destroys every last sperm, fetus, and fully developed mammal with a Y chromosome - with the exception of amateur escape artist Yorick Brown and his surly male helper monkey Ampersand. My cousin A**** is credited for discovering this for the Dhingra Singularity. In a mad dash through Tower Records, he picked up a random graphic novel and got issues 1-5 of Y Last Man. Wanting to synchronize with my younger half, I too did the same thing (without the randomness). We both can vouch that this is a pretty damn good comic book.

More on synchronicity... (google it, you get a bunch of whackos like me)... but it's a concept where you hear a strange unique thing at one time and then shortly thereafter you re-counter the same concept in a different form from in a totally different context. Well the day before I picked this comic book up, Buck Fudda educated me on how the X chromosome was waging a genetic war on the Y chromosome, and that there are species of Butterflys where only 8% are male. Coincidence? I think not, more on this later.
