arrogance is ignorant confidence.

(it took me a while to come up with a grasp on arrogance. Usually because the people pointing out arrogance seemed to just be pointing out somebody who said bold things. It was almost that arrogance was applied to anything that had an arrogant sound to it, despite how much truth would be to the boldness.)
