The Street’s Latest Lure WHY DO I say “uh-oh”? Paraphrasing Groucho Marx, I don’t want to join any club that decides it wants people like me. Someone’s going to mint money here, but I have a funny feeling it won’t be us.

I just like this quote. But my inuition agrees with her, chances are you're gonna get burned by the most tempting offer on wall street.

My opinion on stocks still stands in my view. When playing the stockmarket, you're just playing information games against other people. The relative merit of the information you have will determine whether you will win. + luck. Since regular investors like us don't have insider tips nor access to vats of reserach data, all we can rely on are what we hear, either from friends or CNBC. It's no wonder that so many ppl got burned during the crash. I believe in just investing in the S&P 500, and juggling your money between cash and a capital position.
