NEO is a hacker. criminals are hackers. that guy that stole your student ID login and password is a hacker. hackers are the biggest purpetrator of identity theft.

Yes, there is a technical usage of hacker that involves tinkering with code for fun. But invoking it the way people do is like me, someone who rides bicycles, walking around saying I'm a "biker."
