and how our perception of the universe relies on the interaction of two fundamental properties of the universe
variability (randomness, chaos, disorder) and simplicity (logic, patterns, schemas, archetypes)
and that was the first that popped into my mind when i was reading about the random generator being the key to original thought [philosophistry.com]

it would be interesting if one could devise a test for randomness
there are some crude ones
but to see if a human could be more random than a RNG
