Does the world need more writers?

Everybody should write. Everybody should sing. Everybody should start a business.

Do we need more writers in the world? Of course not. But you need more writing in your life.

Do we need more amateur painters in the world? Of course not. But we need less sheep. We need more thoughtful, creative people. We need people to speak up and express themselves, rather than apathetically whittle away their time.

I don't know what I'm attacking here. Kind of inspired in response to this commentary: The Age of Commodified Intelligence
